Absence and Excuses Policy (for Associate Professional Diploma)
First: Attendance and Absence
It is recommended that the trainee commit to regularly attending all training lectures to get the most out of the program.
A maximum of (3) lectures are allowed in each course during the semester (not exceeding 12 training hours).
In case of repeated absences 3 times in a course, the trainee must submit an official documented excuse to the Student Affairs Department to explain the reasons for the absence.
In the event that the number of absences allowed exceeds without an acceptable official excuse, this will affect the trainee's eligibility for the Professional Diploma Completion Certificate.
Second: Excuses
In case of absence, the trainee must submit an official documented excuse to the lecturer and the Student Affairs Department within a period not exceeding five (5) working days from the date of absence.
The Student Affairs Department reviews the excuse and takes the appropriate decision to accept or reject it in accordance with the approved regulations.
The excuse is not considered acceptable until it is officially approved by the Student Affairs Department
Third: Acceptable Excuses
Formal excuses are accepted only in the following cases:
• Medical excuses documented by an official report from an accredited body.
• Emergency family circumstances supported by proof of status.
• Official Assignments or Obligations from the Employer.
• Proven technical failures or force majeure when studying remotely.
